Start with a plain deck of cards. Then deface it. Scrawl in mutations, inscribe Qi Words, ink your own equipment and art. Every word you write is permanent. What you’re left with is a dungeon that remembers every game you’ve played.
Survive the dungeon’s monsters and out-gear it. Clear it when your equipped values outmuscle its Strength after a monster attacks — but the monster pile itself is the clock. Run out of cards and your band has run out of time.
Lose? Take a scar. Draw an uninscribed Monster, give it a modifier, invent its Qi Word, and inscribe it into your deck forever. Even in defeat, the deck levels up.
Drive your deck toward legendary status — the rank it earns the moment it banks 1000+ XP. Currently in playtest (v0.2). Pull from the online Lexicon to inscribe canon Qi Words, or coin your own and submit them for review.
